The theme, Sustainability: Bringing it all Home weaves together 15 extraordinary national speakers (via satellite), local workshops and keynotes, food, music, art, and plenty of time for conversation and connection. We will spend three rejuvenating days exploring the ways environmental, economic, and social justice questions play themselves out in our community, homes, and personal lives.

October

As you get ready for Halloween this year, why not think about healthier options for treats?  Boxes of raisins, apples, dried fruit, trail mixes and vegan chocolates are great ways to change. Stay away from the corn syrup. The older kids may complain, but the youngest won't know the difference. (Trust us, they will probably make up for it at school anyway.)

If you are really feeling ambitious you could talk to your neighbors about starting a change on your block. A group of you can get together and discuss healthier options (perhaps over homemade cider and pumpkin cookies).

Have a BOO-TIFUL halloween!
